Family Trees' Nativitas For Teens & Young Adults provides high-quality, nurturing, childbirth & breastfeeding education and support  for pregnant and breastfeeding individuals who are ages 20 and younger. Educational & professional  opportunities exist for peer leaders with career goals within maternal-child health.

Free, Weekly Breastfeeding Support Group
Who: Pregnant and breastfeeding teens & young adults up to age 20 and their breastfed babies
What: Weekly breastfeeding support group for teens & young adults up to age 20. Babies who are currently breastfeeding are encouraged to attend with you. Come grab an after-school snack and lots of love. There is no cost to attend.
Where: Virtual, soon to be in-person
When: Tuesdays, from 12 pm - 1 pm

​Breastfeeding 101 Class
Who: Pregnant teens & young adults up to age 20. Your support person is welcome to join you.
What: Breastfeeding is one of the most important things you can do for your baby. The short and long term health benefits to you and to your baby are significant. Sometimes breastfeeding comes easily, and sometimes it is challenging. This class will give you the basic, but important information needed to get breastfeeding off to a great start, as well as tips for your support people.

When:  First Wednesday of every  month, 3 - 4:30 pm Eastern Time

​Grandmother/Grand-friend Breastfeeding Class
Who: Grandmothers, or another important adult support person for a soon-to-be breastfeeding mother.
What: Research tells us that Grandmother's support improves breastfeeding rates. This class will provide helpful tips in the most up-to-date information about breastfeeding and tips for support your daughter or friend in her breastfeeding journey.

Childbirth Education
Who: Pregnant teens or young adults up to age 20. Support person of your choice - only if desired - is welcome at your invitation. Support person is not required.
What: This fun and engaging childbirth class is specifically designed for our younger population. You will learn how amazing your body is designed, how labor and birth work, and tools you can use to make your labor and birth a healthy, positive, and empowering experience.

​How Are We Different From Other Programs?

Nativitas Teen & Young Adult programs is unmatched in the level of commitment to the profession of perinatal and breastfeeding education. Family Trees is a Lamaze-accredited program, which is the gold-standard in childbirth education. 

Our staff are full-time childbirth & breastfeeding educators who not only achieve more than three times the required number of continuing education hours each year, but are also highly involved in maternal-child health initiatives at local, state, federal, and international levels. Additionally, we are expert childbirth educators. No other local program can offer this same quality which focuses soley on education.

Nativitas For Teens & Young Adults assures than no pregnant or breastfeeding person under the age of 20 will have to find support or education in a class filled with older adults. This program, it's content and demographics, are specifically designed for younger adults and teens under the age of 20.

Additionally, through this program, our participants may discover an interest in a career within maternal-child health. Nativitas seeks to support individuals pursuing these careers.
