Prepare for the Lamaze Certification Exam with one of the leading Lamaze-accredited training programs in the world! Nearly 600 childbirth educators have trained and studied with us. We'd love to have you join us!
Family Trees Lamaze-Accredited Childbirth Educator Program offers a multiple week study group for individuals who are sitting for the next Lamaze Certification Exam. This is an accountabilty group, not a short cut to prepare for the exam. Active participation and contribution to class discussion is expected. Your classmates cannot study for you. |
Requirements
- All participants must be an eligible candidate for the Lamaze certification exam
- All participants must own the newest edition of the Lamaze Learning Guide
- All participants must have their copies of the following books:
- Giving Birth With Confidence: The Official Lamaze Learning Guide
- Pregnancy, Childbirth & The Newborn
- Optimal Care In Childbirth
- Breastfeeding book of your choice: Womanly Art Of Breastfeeding, Jack Newman's Guide To Breastfeeding, or Breastfeeding Made Simple
- OPTIONAL (but highly recommended): The Birth Partner, 5th edition by Penny Simkin
- All participants must contribute to the study group discussion
- All participants must have a working webcam and microphone.
- Participants are expected to keep web cameras ON at all times, and engagment and participation in the group is expected. This is not a passive learning experience. You will be an active participant. Please test your devices before the Zoom. A cell phone is not an appropriate device as we will be accessing web-based resources.

- Receive weekly homework and practice quizzes
- Join private Facebook Group
- 2 -hour Zoom class meets Mondays, 12 pm - 2 pm Eastern Time
- Attend as many or as few as you wish
- Zooms are pay-as-you-go
- No refunds - This meeting will NOT be recorded. If you miss it, you miss it.
